Im restoring a couple of planes but im not sure where i can get parts for cheaper. any websites?

Cheap parts are good. Uncertified and/or bogus parts aren't. Wherever you go, make sure you get a good tag on your parts. It might be a good idea to check if the company has been in trouble for distributing bad parts before.

You need to get the catalog for these people:

P.S. Anything you order from the USA, either send it US Mail (if it's not worth very much, and you're willing to wait) or if it's valuable, and/or you're in a hurry, send it fedex AIR (not ground) because the cost of brokerage is included in the shipping. I am sure I am not the only person here who has been surprised by a UPS bill for $100 for brokerage, after the fact! Many people who live near the border, ship UPS to a USA address, and drive down and pick it up. It's all part of the "I Am Canadian" tax.
P.P.S Here is an intruiging development:

Not sure where you live. For generic stuff, in Toronto there's Leavens, who stock very generic supplies:

I suspect you're going to need some pretty specialized stuff during your restoration. Here's a place to start:

Also, a copy of the yellow newspaper, "Trade-a-plane" can be helpful as well.
Hope this helps,

I can access a Beaver landing gear for sale. Would Ebay be a good place to put it?
By the way, anyone heard about the $1 pilot for sale on Ebay, did he find a taker? I've lost the link.

Flying an aircraft and building a guitar are two things that are easy to do bad and difficult to do right
