Advice to move on
Hearing things are so great in the Industry these days I'm trying to get out of Instructing and get out to the west or north to get some valuble "operational experiance" I have 700 TT, 500 PIC, Float, IATRA, all the normal goods. I have applied to many companies with only one call back, I have a bag packed and can leave for anywhere in 2 weeks or less, willing to relocate anywhere, anyone want to PM me to give me some feedback greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

How many have YOU called back? This is not a passive process where you just send out resumes (even MY resumes
) and just wait for the calls - you have to be proactive and determined. You should keep a log and you should note the responses from everyone you have replied to. How do you get responses? Visiting is best, 'phone calls are second best, e-mails are least-best (is that a word?).
You must call them back in 2 or 3 weeks and ask them if they need anyone yet. They need to get to know you! There is still a shortage of experienced guys, but lots of companies are manned-up for the season now so the search will get harder.
Good luck. And don't forget to let us know how you make out!

"What's it doing now?"

Go to St. Andrew's, Manitoba.
According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Air Canada is hoping to pick up new recruits there.

I went up to Thunder Bay the last couple days and knocked on some doors there, after multiple call backs before hand, and no job. So it isn't as easy as "poof" all timesV2 wrote:is it just me or are lowbies getting lazy.. with todays market get your ass out there and knock on a door, poof you got a job... simple.. really it is. So head west or north like you want, job isn't coming to you on a silver plater, if your bag is already packed, then go

The "poof" is really dependant of you and your experience. If you have over 1000TT with any experience then you will find work somwhere.I went up to Thunder Bay the last couple days and knocked on some doors there, after multiple call backs before hand, and no job. Well that's true. I should have said in my post that I'm a 235TT wonder, heheShotgun10 wrote:The "poof" is really dependant of you and your experience.
