TC's New Passport Style Licence

Post by FlyingFinn »

Hey has anyone heard when TC is going to start implementing the new licence? I heard they want to have it all phased in and completed by next spring starting with ATPL holders and moving on down from there.
Anyone shed any light on this?

I’m guessing $100 licensing fee, $55 processing fee, $30 Photo fee and maybe $10 per endorsement, rating, or type rating.

Oh yeah and the reach around is extra.

Right now with a canadian pilots licence you can go to restricted areas in major airports. A pilots licence should have a picture on it. I'm surprised there haven't security breaches before.

And, with only a Pilot License, you can not board a domestic flight in Canada. You must have photo ID....you can fly the stinking airplane....but you can't ride on it....Oh, Canada, our home on Native land....

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Actually, the first one is free(if I remember the bulletin correctly)...then you probably will have to pay the same fees as now to have your endorsements added.
