Since the page changes so quickly I just wanted to revive our job ad looking for float pilots for the upcoming high-season in Thailand for September.

flew wit a guy in the maldives who use to fly there. He mentioned things like no compressor washes and all around doddgy maintince. Although he did quite enjoy the massages.

Any response to those statments?

Who does the Maintance?

How many expats to locals?

Yes tofo, I have a response to those statements. They are wrong.

You don't know anyone who worked at Destination Air. Another company who has since closed up shop maybe?

Our maintenance on our 2 aircraft is done by our 2 AME's and 1 very capable apprentice. 2 of the 3 are Canadian.

You should get your facts straight before you click "Submit"

It means "expatriate".

Or someone that left their home country, usually to make ca$h or be groovy.

into the kool-aid last night

My point is that going with the opinion of a former employee this place lacked saftey standars. it was the maintanace that was an issue for him.

tofu, I am acutely aware that aviation, and especially float flying is a small world. What I am telling you is that you don't know anyone who has worked for Destination Air. There have only been 3 pilots since the start of operations and I know where they all are right this minute, and none of them are in the Maldives. We are a brand new company with aircraft that I personally did the imports on and I know each and every hour which they have flown. I am here to witness the daily compressor washes as well as all of the other maintenance that takes place to a very high standard.

You are OBVIOUSLY confusing us with another company, and before you go beaking off about poor standards at our operation, you BETTER GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. Lay off the "kool aid" and get a grip champ. That is all I have to say to you. Over.

For you, we'll make an exception, simply because I need someone here who can play my "style" of golf.

Don't worry, I'll have a set of chopsticks hand carved for you by a master craftsman, 10 Baht  .

There have been at least 2 other companies in Thailand flying amphib 208's. One is long gone, and one is trying to get it's certificates re-issued but is sadly mistaken. Both were known to fly corrosion cans and hence their present situations.

We, at the ONE AND ONLY Destination Air, have one of the sweetest 208 amphibs you will find and a 206H that is just as cherry. They are babied by the engineers who have extensive experience with amphibs and PT6's.

Your apology is accepted.

I woulden't say wrong.

You are destination air

You do fly caravans

you are based in thailand

admittiedly your the only sacaravan provider

good luck with the applications as I hope the people who fly for you earn a good living and have a good quality of life and when things go wrong they have water underneath them
