Glacier Air

Greetings fellow pilots
I feel a need to comment on the job add by Glacier Air. Honestly, this is not the job to pass up if you are looking for work within the greater Vancouver area. I have worked for this company for over a year now, and have been very impressed with the operation, facilities, staff, and flight training. My career is advancing on because of the flying I did at Glacier Air.
Squamish is an exceptional airport to conduct flight training due to no airspace complications. The majority of training is conducted within the Howe Sound which is only 2 min. south of the airport. The number of students is on a steady increase due to the convenience of the area. Students are coming from as far as Pemberton and North Vancouver for the training. The majority of students are very keen and flying on a continual basis. This job is an excellent opportunity for a flight instructor to advance their rating. I found that any contribution or ideas I had with flight training was gladly accepted to continuously provide quality instruction.
The sightseeing tours have been one of the best parts of the job because of the diversity of scenery around the airport. Each passenger I've flown has thoroughly enjoyed the tours (and the tips aren't bad
too). Majority of the tours are flown within the glacial regions of the Tantalus range, Pemberton Icefield, Whistler, and Garibaldi Park.
The charter operation of Glacier Air is the icing on the cake to the job. Charters are growing due to the advancement of the area and the company's reputation. A large majority of the flights are from Vancouver International up to the Chilko Lake region. Experience is gained through operating in the busy airspace of YVR to the remote gravel strips of Chilko and Elkin Creek. The charter operations are conducted on both the Cessna 206s and 172s. The C206 is an excellent plane to get hours for the consideration of future employers.
Squamish is a great town to live in since Whistler is 40 min. up the road and Vancouver is 40 min. south. There is no shortage of things to do on days off and I found rent is reasonable.
So anyways, I say if you are looking for a great work experience that will benefit and advance your career, apply to Glacier Air. Also, I'll comment that the pay is better than industry standard.
