Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.

I'm sorry, but Canadian aviation isn't exactly the Worker's Paradise either...

Hey man...what planet are you from?? Of course I know the pay, but who cares! You get to fly a CRJ or Dash 8. Worst case scenario a B-1900...Geeez , how many hours does it take to fly a be-1900 in Canada
The pay is crap! I agree! 19000$ is nothing....

PLEASE SEE THIS EVERYBODY!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RayMaswju1A

Fly for a year to come back to Canada
If somebody offers you a job on a CRJ for 15,000CDn$$ & you only have 250 hours....You take it....I would!

and here in lies the downfall of our industry and the reason that wages will never be decent for the early years of one's career.

Thanks a lot ICEMAN from the many pilots that aren't gunning to be at AC by the time we're 26. You're bringing down everyone elses wages.

(if the last statement was said in sarcasm, then disregard the above!

I agree with you guys....it is the downfall of the industry! I whish it were not that way.....

BUT

You guys have to accept reality. What if a kid (with 250-500TT) was offered a right seat on a Dash8 or CrJ......What would be his response!
"No, I have to preserve the integrity of the aviation industry??"

No way :!: :!: .....he would take the job.....maybe for free.....
It's wrong, but it's reality..... :(

What's wrong with trying to get into Air Canada @ 26???
