Not jumping to conclusions here, but from what I have heard about certain operators from certain parts of the world, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be crew related. I would be very surprised if the machine was to balme for this. The Q 400 is a lot of airplane and while being very forgiving it does require a certain amount of skill & respect. Bottom line is I have no doubts about it being a very safe airplane. Sad to see a beautiful girl like that busted up.

This sounds like a hard landing not a mechanical malfunction.

I am not sure about the wx at the airport exactly but typoon was just passing though Korea at that time.
