My Avcanada

Post by tofo »

While I apprecite this board as a forum for all aviators to unite and discuss aviation related topics, I would hope that those who do it professinaly are held in a slightly higher regard. Niss, It's wonderful that you have bought pants specificly for flying. and I'm sure you have a special knee board too. But you don't go flying on days where the cieling is shit the vis is shit and your dispatcher tells you your good for that extra 200 pounds. what you don't realize is there are limits and there are limits. and as a person who doesen't do this profesinaly Who TF are u to say my opinions are dumb? what you forget is the people who pay for you extra carircular activities are the profesinals that make money for thier companies everyday. Who TF pays for those airports you land at? maybe it's you with the $5 landing fee and all.

Do aviation a favor and keep your mouth shut, who knows you might learn something?

Are you looking for a second opionion from someone that's been in the industry longer than you, the professional aviator?

Tofo, I have never claimed to be the end all be all authority on aviation. I have made it clear in the past that I am but a humble student of aviation. The only things I have ever claimed to really know about are my short experiences as an aircraft owner. I have never gone against your AVIATION Related opinions and claimed them to be dumb. Infact the only time I can recall you and I having dealings is when I used a satirical title for the plain in asia that caught fire and exploded. I never felt it was out of line because nobody got hurt, not many people had a problem with my post, however it seems that you did for one reason or another.

I make sure that I don't go out of my way to talk about things I specifically dont know about for two reasons. One I hate people who try to make people think they have the answer even though they have no clue what they are talking about. Two I know there are many people here who are in this game much longer than I have and know much much much more than me, who could easily call me on it.

So I really don't know what caused you to come on here and devote an entire thread to me, but I hope you have more important things in your life.

Niss

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Actually I am pretty sure it is I who pay for my extracurricular activities. I understand that you may feel like I owe you something because I was able to purchase an aircraft and fly it while you mash the keyboard on your 486 in front of your bowl of mac and cheese dreaming of how you wish you could afford ketchup as soon as they take you off the ramp and put you into the cojo seat. But all the cheques I put away for my a/c were signed by my employer, not by you. The only people who I will credit with helping me are my parents who allowed me to stay at home rent free while saving up. Its also worth noting that I pay for the airport I land at, and have Navcanada fees sent to me and my a/c partner anually.

So if you ever see me wearing MY flying pants and flying MY plane you may look at me and say what a jackass, you know what Im going to say? "Shut the @#$! Up and fill my plane with 100LL."

You know whats the problem with this industry? Everyone feels they are owed something. Asshats like you think I enjoy my privelages because of someone else, Asshats like you shit on new people because they didnt have to sling bags. You blame the whole world for your position and the position of others and belittle people who dont want a life as shitty and miserable as yours is Tofo.
