Strange Light West of YXU Last Night

Post by comanchepilot »

Just wondering if anyone in London and the surrounding area saw the light to the west last night between 2030 and 2300 local time.

It was a glowing orange/red light that appeared to be coming directly from the West. I was in an apartment building, so I was able to see it.

My first thought was that a refinery or something in Sarnia had exploded, but I have seen no news reports about it. There were 1 or 2 Jazz flights coming into YXU landing 27 during this time, if you are members of AvCanada and were flying, did you see it?

Definitely not to do with Frosh Week.... T.D. Waterhouse was lit up like a Christmas tree, but this was in the far west.... I was 10th floor at Richmond & Oxford, and this was definitely in the far west....

I checked Detroit news too, nothing there...

Saucer people with the aid of reverse vampires obviously caused this.

Orange light probably was the lights in chemical valley - driving home on the 402 I've seen the city lights many times right after passing London...

Well if the sun was still going down, then it was probably the smog and setting sun which caused a glow. But because you're saying it lasted 2.5 hours, I'm thinking this is an effect of global warming. I been noticing alot of weird things about the sun, and the moon, this summer. Like one that is real bizarre is the "Reddish" color of the moon. It is more darker red than before, but I notice it is only that way for the first part of the evening, like maybe till 2200, then as it gets higher it becomes the normal white.

Yeah I wish somebody would post about that Light you saw, thanks for posting.
