How much would you pay?
Heard from a guy that these planes are up for auction. If you have flown any of them, how much do you think they are worth. Any thoughts are helpful. Bid deadline is Sept. 18, 2007

There is a huge difference between buying a wreck out in the mountains and restoring it for a flying museum; and buying a POS navajo.
The defects in an isolated crash are gonna be addressed with TLC and new parts.
The POS navajo is gonna go from one "maintenance free" operator to the next. Eventually some poor kid is gonna die after paying for their PPC, because they airplanes' prop deice, vacuum pumps, high pressure pumps are gonna fail, or the prop won't feather... and that'll be that. People wil be saying, that's so sad, Fred was such a nice guy, and how can that happen...
Companies that won't maintain their aircraft manage by fear and intimidation. Generally they don't do a good job of training. They don't pay their crews well.
Fortunately for them new kids coming up never know the history of these POS machines, so they always get new cannon fodder.
