I dont mention too much about it being hard/easy, what I do mention is how hard it was and how many sacrifices it took to be able to decide for myself if flying is hard or easy.

Flying is easy
Hard part is dealing with all the hot groupie chicks when you land

or

Flying is easy
Hard part is trying to contain my hunger at the smell of KFC in the back

or

Flying is easy
Hard part is trying not to pitch a tent in front of all the smokin hot pax in the north we pick up

or

Flying is easy
Hard part is not to destroy the garbage bag sampsonites

Sure, after years of training and practice, it becomes easy. So does almost anything.

Flying is like golf. Anybody can go out there and whack some balls around, but to be a professional golfer takes a pile of work and a huge investment.

Or I mention how easy it was after my lobotamy.

How about: "Flying is a lot like my other career: porn star. It may look easy, but it's actually hard pretty much all the time"

I get that question all the time. I also get people that think they can fly an airplane, having never even sat in one. Makes you wonder if the movies make it look easy, after all when a scared FA can land a 747 (Turbulence) or Kurt Russell (Executive Decisions), what conclusion can the average Joe draw? PLUS, think about the perception that people have on airline pilots "sure they just press the AP button and the plane does the rest"

LT, I think you jumped from the frying pan into the fire, with your career change from gay porn to aviation. MUCH more whoring goes on in aviation.

I tell them flying is easy, a chimp can learn to do it, it's the landings that freaks me out! Then I ask them if they want to come along on my next flight.

I had a guy came up to me at a party and say, "so I hear you’re a pilot, how many hour do you have?” I answered. Cheese dick says, "I've got 225 PIC in MS flight sim, 80 hours of it IFR on the king air" The way he said it you'd think he just landed the space shuttle. Haven’t laughed so hard since.

When people ask, I say "yeah, on a day like this it's easy. You can try it no problem. But now I'll fail one of our engines, so you have to deal with that, then you have to go to an airport and land. Oh, and you can't look outside."

They usually get the point :D

...and on top of that, they're working for FREE! No wonder this industry is crap! I'm going back to Uncle Owen's farm, and I'll be looking forward to going into Toshi Station to pick up some power converters

I finally figured out the problem with this whole industry...

According to these posts, it's full of Star Wars uber-nerds and gay porn starlets. And I thought I was the only one.

"You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor" - oh, and a gay porn uber-nerd too.
