I wouldn't think you'd be able to go direct jazz with solely instructor time. As depleted as their resume pool may be, Im sure they still have many resumes from pilots with 1000+ ME turbine time wanting to leave the north and move back home.

I would try to get some PIC time instructing, then leave for something else. Lots of companies hiring instructors nowadays into PC12 or KIng airs. My friend just got hired at jazz, he was a former instructor and had been flying the king air for just under 1 year (he had about 400 PIC on the king air though and about 2500hrs).

You either have to have some experience or none it seems. They are doing the college kid program experiment but otherwise I think the resume pile still has better applicants than smeone with juts instructing time.

Last I heard Jazz would like an ATPL. Keep in mind 1500 of circuits in a C150 will get you one!!!
1500 hours with Multi PIC time would be absolute minimum, but keep in mind that it's generally more about what those hours are than how many you have.

Last class at the end of August all had over 2500TT, ATPL, Turbine (many with Multi Turbine PIC) and 35% had Multi Turbine over 12,500lbs.
