I wouldn't think you'd be able to go direct jazz with solely instructor time. As depleted as their resume pool may be, Im sure they still have many resumes from pilots with 1000+ ME turbine time wanting to leave the north and move back home.
I would try to get some PIC time instructing, then leave for something else. Lots of companies hiring instructors nowadays into PC12 or KIng airs. My friend just got hired at jazz, he was a former instructor and had been flying the king air for just under 1 year (he had about 400 PIC on the king air though and about 2500hrs).
