Was just listening to plans about using UAV's to patrol and do the sovereignty thing in the north.
I believe they were also used last year to map the Esperanza fire in California.
I guess at 43,000 in cruise it would be no conflict with the Martin Mars...
Not to diminish the risk to our drivers up the north, but less risk higher up (altitude and latitude)?
So how do the unmanned things interface/communicate to ATS? Do they squawk IDENT etc like everyone else?

Northrop Grumman's Global Hawk is USAF service has been granted a Certificate of Authorization by the FAA to fly in US national airspace.
