Voyageur Overseas
First off I'm not looking to bash the company with this thread, since I've never worked for them and don't personally know anyone who has. All I have to go on is the very negative things said about them on here. More to the point I noticed they are advertising for overseas positions again and I thought it would be nice to start a new thread on here in the hope of getting some honest info about the UN ops they do.
My hope is that people who have personally experienced thier operation can give the good, bad and ugly about the company without an all out blasting from those who have heard second third or fourth hand how horrible Voyageur and where they operate is.
Maybe the place has changed, maybe not but if you have something constructive to say on the issue I look foreward to reading the responses.

I don't know anythıng about Voyageur, but I can tell you that people usually don't make posts about thıngs they are happy about. There seems to be a lot of company bashıng on thıs forum and ıts my opınıon that ıt has to be taken wıth a graın of salt. If these companıes we so terrıble they they probably wouldn't be as successful as they are.
I thınk the mods should make a forum where people can only say good thıngs about the place where they work....but once agaın happy/content employees don't usually go lookıng for somewhere to express theır happıness.
Just my opınıon and I could be wrong but I doubt ıt. Ha.

Well I havn't seen any recent posts on here about them(correct me if i'm wrong). It is always possible that a company has changed and that is more or less what I was interested in. Maybe the bad rap they have within the biz has forced a change in the company or maybe not. I'd like to work overseas someday and welcome any comments on their ops, if you have anything negative to say just let it be known why. I find a lot of the negative things posted here don't have a lot of substance behind them just heresay. I also understand this is a forum for people to express themselves and I definately don't always take what I read here at face value.
Hello all. I presently work for voyageur airways and Its really not all that bad. Of course you get the odd employee that doesnt get stroked the right way and gets all upset but who wouldnt. the only thing to watch out for is the politics ( soap operas) . keep your mouth shut if you dont have something nice to say or it gets around fast and there are a few back stabbers . But really what larger company doesnt have these going on. Some of the places we go are not the prettiest but what do you expect, look where were going. I guess what Im trying to say is dont let other people influence you by what is being said, the only way to know is to work for them yourself. Go in open minded and I think you will be surprised. who knows maybe you will like it, or maybe you wont. I think it all depends on the individual.. (so far Im enjoying it.)
IF you have any questions ask. I may be able to answer them for you .

Voyageur overseas
I like this whole don't bash policy on this thread. I presently work for Voyageur and have been travelling all over Africa with them. And I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. Yes theres BS envolved but I've worked with some bigger airlines for a good few years before this gig and let me tell you this place is pretty tolourable. And for the most part, it's because of the guys you work with. Voyageur has alot of young guys that haven't burned 100 times by the company so the old grouchy guy in the corner of the hanger ( and most places have at least one ) dosen't affect everyone else. So going to work isn't a chore. Are we busy? hell yes, are we staying at the hilton with a pool and room service? hell no. Do we have all the equipment you would find in an Air Canada hanger back home? certinitily not but this ain't Canada. And I will say I have never been forced or asked by management to do anything unsafe or anything close to illegal. Also the pay has gone up recently so this place ain't that bad.
