Note to Bearskin Airlines

Post by Doc »

I had the pleasure of operating one of your skeds recently. It was indeed, a pleasure. Your counter staff, pilots and ground crew were all pros. Everyone made us feel welcome. It was indeed a good experience. A special thanks to Helen! Wonderful lady. You guys are lucky to have her! Cheers.

Take advantage of our jumpseat agreement with them all the time. Great folks on the ground and in the air.

Bearskin a few years back was one of the best northern companies to work for. After the downsizing, it's outlook looked bleak. Great to see it still around, growing, and doing what it does best - The bear will get you there.
Love the new paint jobs.

Hahaha, somebody needed to say that. Must be hard operating a metro in some of those places, those pavement strips get a little rough at times.

EDIT...It's a positive thread, I won't tarnish it with the bond thing. It sucks that it happens, but these guys DO A GREAT JOB regardless. Been on them numerous times, its always been a good experience.

A few years ago I abandoned a Chipmunk at Sault St Marie... I'd sat him on the wing of the Chipmunk and then forgot to bring him inside before I slid the canopy and fired up...
At 2,000 feet I realised Chippy was not up front with me, nor was he in the back with Ted!

A call to the tower confirmed a furry object was out on the tarmac...

Bearskin Airlines kindly flew the Chipmunk to Thunder Bay to be reunited with us for the remainder of the Trans Canada Chipmunk flight.

Now Chippie resides with my former girlfriend in Thailand, lucky fellow! He might still go flying in an S76 I suppose.

Thank you again Bearskin.

I dont get the whole Chimpmunk deal, must be a fetish thing. But I will say that 99% of the Sault tower guys do a standup job... there was this one punk from there who was a little high-tempered, other than that, they were great at dealing with all the shenanigans of the Sault College runts.

ps: anybody know the callsign "Cobra" I heard them flying up north near Repulse Bay today w/ edmonton center?
