Google Mobile METAR's ......metars to your phone/blackberry

Undocumented, and beta, but very cool.

send a text message to googl (46645) and in the body type 'METAR CYKF' or any other ICAO identifier..

within a minute, get the lastest METAR back to your phone/blackberry etc.

Free service from google... and very very useful.

if you have a blackberry you can email wx@flightaware.com and in the subject put the identifier, within a few min you will have the METAR and TAF's.

Hey, dial 1-866-992-7433 from any phone (wireless or wireline)

and you can get a METAR, TAF, winds, analysis, NOTAMS for anywhere. And it's absolutely FREE!!!!

With the flightaware weather becareful to check the date and time of the TAF or METAR because in smaller airports like Kingston, Ontario and the such the TAF could be a few months old. So if it's December and calling for 1 SM +TSRA you might want to clue in

no charge from google, but if your plan charges you to send txt msgs', your on the hook for that.

It's a web site specifically designed for handheld (so it may/will not work on a normal computer) and it provides TAF and METARs for any airport with weather service.

I use it on my Crackberry all the time.
