How many of you out there, if you had known about all of the BS in the industry, would have continued on to become pilots? I, for one, think I would have chosen a different career.

I knew what it was like going in. Still went in. Love my job. Not leaving anytime soon.

When I started my Private they were coming out with all that pilot shortage sh*t. By the time I started my CPL I knew the truth, but kept going. I have no regrets... I love my job and wouldn't want any other career.

People start flying because they love it. But pilots stick with a company because it pays. Call me crass, but I think you'll find a lot more satisfied pilots in a older group of guys being paid $250K/yr than another group of older guys being paid $25K/yr.

When you're young and dumb, you'll fly anything anywhere for peanuts and you'll be happy as a pig in poop. It ain't like that when you get older.

I agree with that, every career out there has its ups and downs. I hated almost every job I'd had untill I found my way into aviation.....I think the difference is that aviation is something I have a passion for. I love every minute of it.....well....almost. If you focus only on the negatives then you WILL end up hating your job. If you focus more on the positives, the negatives don't seem so bad. It's all about ATTITUDE!

LOVE what I do...............Hate the industry! Everytime I got frustrated and thought about leaving I had no idea what else to do.

Yeah I'd do it again but smarter.
