Ramp in YYC
Hey...Just moved here from the East Coast, Im having a hard time to find a ramp job. plus, half way here, in winnipeg I got broken into my car, stole my flight bag with my licence, medical, logbook and my passport. I read other post and people are saying that the way the industry is going there is no reason to work ramp. I don't mind working ramp but I can't get a job. A ramp job right now would help me out while I get all my stuff back on track. Im Still just a 200 hours pilot so a ramp job is what I need, and I don't have the cash to instruct so I got no other option. anyone know of a company out of calagary thats looking for rampies??

In YYC try CMA. Airsprint might be worth a shot too. Sunwest would probably be your best bet as they are looking for people now.
I wouldn't recommend working the ramp when they quote you 1.5-2 yrs wait time, but if it's all you can get, take it and keep applying elsewhere in the mean time. If an offer comes up, by all means take it. It is better to be flying than working on the ground, especially with the way things are going today.
