hey jaircraft, it's a joke. they pay their domestic ame's poorly. you *can* make some decent money working for their overseas operations though, although i've heard the conditions can be quite horrible. put a question up in the maintenance forum for some storiesjaircraft wrote:what are they like to work for?? it's been my experience that the best paid ame's are into something corporate. pay per hour i mean, not gross pay. for example a corporate ame might make $100,000/yr working 40hrs a week, while an airline ame might make $100,000/yr working 60hrs i week. >>>>i only use those numbers because they're simple.<<<<
if you're really set on airlines, calmair in manitoba pays their longterm ame's quite well. i think their payscale is posted on this site somewhere. crappy place to live though.
