Sitting in front of a bus, for 14hrs............yawn

Or

Fire fightings fun, nothing better than running around with a bambi bucket............maybe throw some mountains in there.

Drill moves, setting the tower without crushing any fingers.

Treeplanting, smelly hippie chicks in the best shape of there life topless in the front seat.

Burning things, nothing better than burning down the forest. with a tourch.

Chasing animals.............for science of corse...

Towing in on top of 10000ft mountain.....training of course

Mountain flying a coming home without shitting your pants.

Wondering what the guy on the bottom of you long-line is thinking.

Guess it depends what you want to do.

Kind of like when logging, and you corner the hooker up against a bunch of logs before you touch the hook to the ground to discharge it.

Knocked a new helper on his ass last year, during winter... Told them in the briefing, DO NOT TOUCH THE HOOK before I put it down, he did, I saw the arc go from the cage to the hand.... I did laugh however...!

Judging by his photos, STL has one of the coolest jobs in all of aviation! When you choose your landing spot, do you purposely choose the most places that will make us the most jealous , or is it just coincidence that you land in the most beautiful spots on earth?

Some people are like slinkies, they serve no purpose, other than to make you smile when you push them down the stairs.

If yer gonna be dumb.....you gotta be tough.

Thanks Crobe,

These shots are just representative of the places many of us work, and while we're very fortunate to be able to (purposely, to answer you question...) land in such beautiful places, we also WORK in them too, and that brings its own set of issues! As pretty as many of these locations are, they can be equally frustrating to operate in on a daily basis, especially when there's large volumes of work to be done. Weather, altitude, and temperatures can all make you pull your hair out some days.

I like taking pics so at this time I year I can remember all the GOOD points from last summer....Lol
