Hi!
I am looking for somebody who flies or that has flown on Aero Commander 900. I want to more on the specs on the plane like the payload, fuel burn and speed at different altitude. I am working for a company that thinks about buying that plane and would like to know more about it.
Thanks!

Sorry, 690 only - where are you going to find a 900? You're better off getting a 1000, same cabin, higher gross, higher ceiling, faster, more made. I like all the turbo ACs but the -10s would be the nicest to fly, though I haven't flown one of those either. Get one with freon instead of the aircycle machine. A huge number of them have landed gear up, so make sure you have a knowledgeable person to look it over before you import it. Particularly the fuel bladders (32? I forget) and especially the engines - a US a/c will have less hours logged than it has flown. Have fun.

I have had experiance with both the 500 and the 680? piston pressurized a lot of years ago. I was not impressed at all with either aircraft. IMHO they were Rockwell's test bed for a space shuttle!
Way too many complicated F'D up systems airframe wise to look after and keep working, very poor access to maintenance items as I recall. Are they still supported with parts??

I loved flying the Aero Commanders both piston and Turbine....the 690B was my favorite light twin.
The 500 series piston pounder was a great flying airplane...just ask Bob Hoover..

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.
After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.
