Re: Is Skyward back?
I don't know much about the Bandit, but I'm almost certain it's unpressurized. Why would one want to operate said aircraft at FL190, and especially going from YXL to YQT?
Just curious I guess....

Re: Is Skyward back?
Many flights from YXL-YQT fly at 190-210. Metros and 1900s do it everyday (Bearskin and Wasaya).
Some 110's are pressurized, this one says EMB 110P1, I think the P2 is pressurized.

Re: Is Skyward back?
My guess.....no. At least not with a Bandit. SKG (the Conquest) flew from YRL to YQT on that day. I'm guessing that is the aircraft in question.
Emb110p1 was not pressurized. SKD, SKR, SKL and the infamous SKJunk were all p1's.

Skyward Bandits flying at 190?? Resurrections from the desert down south? I hope FB gets those things flying again. It would be such a heat score for Transport, he wouldn't stand a chance. Those f.....ing Bandits can kiss my ass!!!!
Everything comes in threes....

Re: Is Skyward back?
It was my understanding that Skyward's Bandits are pop cans by now. At any rate, they wouldn't be @ FL190.

Couldn't have been this one
The others are resting close by also...

Re: Is Skyward back?
Yes, there are still some of those nasty SK?'s flying around. Just the other day I saw one that had the same paint job as SKAb....did.
We think that it is a bad thing, but those ex-Skyward planes are providing job security for a lot of people. In the past 3 1/2 years, I have spent 2 1/2 years overhauling two of the Skywards pieces....what a job.
Last I heard, there was still a 1900D that was waiting for some poor sucker to try to get it airworthy again....God help them if they try...they'll need it.

"Some 110's are pressurized, this one says EMB 110P1, I think the P2 is pressurized."
In the 2500 hours I flew Bandits I never heard of a pressurized model. Had Embraer opted to pressurize that plane and fitted larger engines (1000+ hp) they would have made a winner.
Embraer did consider doing this but early into the project they decided to go in a different direction and created the EMB-120 Brasilia.
BTW, the P2 variant of the Bandit was essentially an improved P1. Most noticeable of these changes was the dihedral tail, just like the one on good ol' SKL.
Cheers

Re: Is Skyward back?
I've never heard of a pressurized EMB-110 either. After a bit of surfing I found that apparently an EMB-110P3 was proposed but it was dropped in favour of development of the EMB-120.
