Hi guys,
I am curious what Navcanada sends out prior to the start of a course. I've gathered the ITA CD is sent, but is there anything else? Does it depend on what the person is training for?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

The ITA yes, plus I believe you get a FTGU (From The Ground Up) and some welcome books etc etc.

You'll get the ITACD, FTGU, the NAV Canada student handbook usually made specifically for the location of your training, a few other papers and the security forms if you haven`t done that yet.

I'm scheduled to start training in August. How soon can I expect to receive the ITA CD? And, how much studying is required before the course starts? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got the ITA CD around mid-March and I begin training mid-June. The guidelines say approx. 70 hours of study to complete the course. I found it to be reasonably accurate.
A former ATC friend of mine recommended going through it a few times to get a solid foundation.

Thanks for the info. I hope I get the training package soon - I'm pretty eager to start.
