Anyone on here working in Yellowknife? I have always looked at Yellowknife as a float pilots city of dreams. With that said, would a guy with 1650TT and 1000 on floats be able to find flying work work up there or would you need to start on the ramp like most with no multi pic time?? Any replies much appreciated!

Sunwest hired outside the company this last float season as no internals had enought float pic. Tindi hired at least one floater this year that i know of from outside for the otter/van.
If you phone either of these companies they will spew bs about the ramp but if they need you they will hire from the outside. I think we will see more and more of a demand for float drivers with your time + in the future if the insurance nazi's have their way. Its about time the laws of supply and demand work in a pilots favor. Good luck.
