There use to be posts about LCE Aviation on this website, but they have all been removed. Many of the posts were of a negative nature. Take that for what it is worth.

Thanks carholme, 18227 matches and probably 3 or 4 on LCE.

Does anybody have anything constructive to say about LCE? I wouldn't mind some info as well.

In view of all the negative posts they asked that their company not be named, and all of the posts be pulled. If that isn't enough of a red flag for you I don't know what would be.

I don't believe it was you asking the question and if you don't understand the meaning of the answer. listen to what endless says.

carholme and endless, point taken! That's unfortunate, because on paper it seems like a decent place to gain experience in the Toronto area. Too bad censorship has overtaken free speech on this online forum. Of course, PM's can't be censored

LCE is a great little company. Good pay, per diems, benefits, and nice equipment. Can't beat the schedule or the destinations either! I don't know why everyone seems to think it's so awful.

whats the pay? about 22 or 25k a year? So you're not making a ton and not working a ton, doesnt sound like an amazing 'first job'. I like the people (never worked there but know some of the upper level guys), and the environment seems good, however you are still not making a lot of cash, nor are you building a bunch of hours. Just depends on what you want. Stay in Toronto or not....

Do they still have that totally off the hook like 20 or 30k bond on a bloody PC-12? I wish the old thread where the CP came on here trying to justify it still existed. If that wasn't enough to scare you off, nothing would be.

The pay starts off about average for a PC-12 f.o. (comparable to your 'first job', lyncher). The per diems are great - you can make upwards of another 10 grand a year in those alone depending on how much you fly. The amount of flying time is similar to any other corporate flying job on the planet. If you want 14 hour days, doing 10+ hours of flight time every 2nd day, this isn't the place for you. If you want a nice, leisurely type of job where you get to do some cool trips into some of the busiest airports in the world, and fly with some great people, then it's perfect. It is a 2 year 15k bond for PC-12 Captain.

I wasnt insulting the pay, I was talking about the hours. The amount of hours that one would get while working there is not ideal for a first job.

Well it gives you lots of free time to study and let the time you spend in the plane sink in a bit, which is something that may sometimes get missed in a first job where you're flying ALL the time. And flying into so many different locations all the time, every situation is new. I think it's the perfect first flying job. It would be nice to see the time go up a little faster though, that's for sure.

I would disagree, My first job was similar to an LCE job (on a PC12 aswell), then I left to fly somehwere else where I was flying close to duty every month. I found I learned a lot more about the job and the ariplane the more I flew it, plus, it advanced my career, Im not on a private business jet just after 3 years in the industry.

PS I apologize for the fact this has gone off topic.

--Edit--
I just went over what I had posted and it seems like Im insulting LCE. All I wanted to say was that its a lifestyle choice. Machine is great, frrom what I hear (I have a know a couple of people that work there) the people are great, you live in the big city, but you dont get a lot of time.... All depends on what you want.

What he said. The flying itself looks to be decent, and the equipment is okay. But please make sure you have a thorough understanding of the dynamic between management and employees before you sign anything. I only wish I could say more.
