Campbell River

Can anyone point me in the right direction for accommodation in the Campbell River area for a 6 week period beginning the end of June. All replies appreciated.

Most of the accomodation is down on the waterfront along the old island highway, a fair distance from the airport. The airport is separate from the built-up areas and would require a vehicle or at least a bicycle to get to.

There are a half dozen or so motels between Willow Point (nearest to the airport) and downtown Campbell River that would probably rent a room for a weekly/monthly rate. They are about 8-12km from the airport, straight down the airport road to the old island highway.

Besides these, if you proceed into town on the old island highway, there are a few other motels/hotels but probably more expensive. Then on the North side of the city is the fishing lodges and resorts.

The Haida Inn is right down town. The J bar is right down stairs. What more could one ask for? Check out the wonderfull reviews.

The J-Bar is across the parking lot from the Haida Inn! That's a long stagger home. Also try the Town Centre Inn at Dogwood and 19th. You'll need a car to go from any hotel to the airport. I'm not sure if any hotel does a shuttle, but it would be at a costlier hotel like the Discovery Inn. You're better to go on the cheap. If you're into camping you could stay at Miracle Beach or Saratoga Beach for a while, it's about a 20 minute drive from the airport south of town.
