CMA Interview
Hello, just wondering from anyone working for CMA,or has gone through the process, what the interview is like and what to expect. What is asked?
Also would like to know a figure on monthly take-home pay for f/o's? Appreciate any info (yes I tried the search but did not find what I was looking for)
Thank you!

Re: CMA Interview
Just change your name to: "flying for buttons". You're looking at 22,500 per year last I heard.
Re: CMA Interview
22,500 per year, yep.
That's gross, subtract tax, EI, CPP, BC MSP payments, and you're looking at about $600 a paycheque, to live in Vancouver...GOOOOOOOD LUCK!

Re: CMA Interview
Company contributes equivalent of 1% of salary to RRSP
Will match another 1% of employee contribution for total of 3%
Re: CMA Interview
$22.5 is correct, for first year pilots with less than 1000 hours. Then it goes up to $25K (when I was there before the new year), though I've heard it's gone up to $26K. Add an extra 1000 if they put you on the Dornier. The minimum requirement for upgrade is 3000 hrs, though you can use some things as credits, ie: if you have a whack of turbine time or 500+ multi PIC they will upgrade you sooner.
The interview usually consists of the director of ops (Lindsay Clougher), the human resources mgr (Diane Hughson) and the CP (Grey Cooper). It'll have a mix between behavioural, operational and IFR based questions. Lindsay will play the bulldog and try to intimidate you. Don't let it get to you. Diane will be really nice and help you to relax. Grey is down to earth. Kinda the good cop - bad cop thing to see how you handle pressure.
All in all a good company to work for, and that is mostly due to the great people you'll be working with ... not so much because of the way the company is managed. The aircraft are well maintained and an absolute blast to fly.
PM me if you have more questions.
