Airborne test set

Anyone know the PN for an airborne test set. This plugs into shop air, has a calibrated adjustable regulator, used to test press switches,etc.

Look up the AD for the Janitrol heater pressure decay test. Used to work in a shop where I did the AD regularly, but can't remember who made the tester or a p/n. The AD may give you a list of acceptable testing units.

The AD does not list test equipment, I have tried typing airborne test set in the google search page but had no luck. Does anyone know the company that makes it then?

Try researching through Parker Hannifin.

Why don't you just build one?? Easy enough to get a new regulator and guages from someone like Acklands-Grainger and just build your own.. The new parts come with calibration certs..

Easy there cowboy. To test some pressure switches you need a gauge which measures in/hg. This means the regulator must be half decent. Also, the valves must be of high quality as well. It has been my experience that most people crank them down too hard & @#$! them up in a hurry. If I remember, the big round pressure switch on top of the Janitrol is about $600. Diaphrams rupture quite easily, especially if your'e a big prick.
Try looking up a Janitrol manual if you can find one. I think Kelly aerospace makes the identical heater now if they have not in fact taken over Janitrol.

I think what you are looking for is the Airborne model 343 test set. This uses shop air to provide an adjustable regulated pressure or vacuum and is generally used to test aircraft pneumatic systems (ie. deice boots) or to run vacuum/pressure instruments in the hangar or any other time you don't want to run the engine driven pump.
I don't know what the pressure switch you want to operate runs at, but if you compare the specs of the test set to the item you need to check you'll know if it will work for you.
