Do you wash and wax? There may be a job in Calgary for four Twin Otters later this summer.

I really hope you are joking.

I am not getting paid even half of your cheapest rates to clean and wash planes.

Are you hiring?

I hope you don't need a license to wash planes.

Yes we do wash and wax aircraft. The approximate cost for your order is $3200 per aircraft, and depending on the time you want to book (to wash your aircraft) we will be there with in 12-15 hours.

All our guys on staff are licensed pilots, as we are able to travel to any city across Canada. All of our products are aviation grade materials, and our prices factor in the amount of time spent on the aircraft plus interior and exterior work that is done. Our company's motto is we will give your aircraft back to you in the same condition you bought it. Our prices are reasonable and negotiable. A normal wash from us includes:

1)Decreasing your aircraft (with aviation grade degreaser)
2)Soaping aircraft with wax additives
3)Prewax-cleaning aircraft
4)Waxing aircraft
5)Vacuuming interior
6)Clean windows

You could hire someone to wash your plane full-time for what you charge to do one cleaning. Commercial operators have full time lackeys to do that kind of thing and private owners usually complain about having to pay $1000 for an annual....I don't even think corporate flight departments are stupid enough to pay those rates. I could see you charging rates like that to wash airliners where it requires man-lifts and a few people to wash it.

Good luck to you, though, you clearly have an active imagination.

keep in mind.....you get what you pay for (usually). You could spend 1hr. washing a 172.....or you could easily spend a whole weekend if you really detailed it. Also, this guy is coming out to the customer, at their convienience.

It seems your prices are a bit on the outrageous side but if people are willing to pay that much why undercut yourself?

Well, if the guy isn't qualified, or doesn't know what he is doing I am sure a certain board member could cut and paste the correct procedures though the 'wax off' part would be cut and pasted from his personal S.O.P.

C'mon CID, we're all waiting for you to attack this
poor airplane washer because he doesn't have the
alphabet soup that you (conveniently anonymously)
claim to possess.

The important thing to remember is that airplanes
can read. Paper is more important than anything
else in aviation, according to the all-knowing CID.
who apparently doesn't ever operate them

Hedley,

I have no opinion regarding airplanewasher's enterprise. Individual operators can decide if their service meets the criteria of their approved maintenance schedule. What's with the bizzare dare?

It is true when we do wash aircraft we put allot of detailing into our work there are the right ways of washing an airplane and there are the wrongs ways, and the work and time spent on aircraft that we wash highlight the right way. Yes it is a convenience like I said we are "Willing to wash your aircraft at your home airport" -No matter where you are located.

Here are historical times that we have used at our home airport in completing these aircraft:

1)DA-20:6.5 hours 12)PC-12: 15 hours
2)DA-40:7.5 hours 13)King Air: 15.5 hours
3)C-152:7.0 hours 14)Beech 1900: 15.5 hours
4)C-172:8 hours
5)C-182:8.5 hours
6)C-350:8.5 hours
7)C-400:8.5 hours
8}Aztech:14.5 hours
9)Turbo-Lance:9.5 hours
10)Caravan: 15 hours
11)Citation Jet: 15.5 hours
