Re: Thompson got their Norseman.............
What is the history of this Norseman? Is it as nice a restoration as the one in Red Lake?
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself
Re: Thompson got their Norseman.............
That's sad - a swallow condo at best. Can't they find somewhere to put it inside?
At least they could have put it on a swivel and then it could be a wind sock; and it would have annoyed the birds...
Oh well,

N29-7 CF-BHS
Registered to Lamb Airways, The Pas, Manitoba as CF-BHS on October 4, 1945. Registered to G.M Clark and John F. Midgett, Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on May 16, 1966. They operated out of Buffalo Narrows and La Loche, Saskatchewan. Re-registered to C and M Airways, La Loche, Saskatchewan in 1971. On May 30, 1981 the aircraft crashed into trees after an engine failure. No details. On September 28, 1989 it was registered to La Loche Airways, La Loche, Saskatchewan. While taxiing on October 11, 1989, fire broke out in the aircraft. It was beached on Prowse island (Cree Lake, Sask.?) and destroyed by the fire. One report suggests that the wreckage may have gone to the Western Canada Aviation Museum, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Another, dated 1993, suggests the wreckage is at Cree Lake, Saskatchewan.
no sig because apparently quoting people in context is offensive to them.
Re: Thompson got their Norseman.............
The remains are at the bottom of Cree Lake, cut up into small pieces, floats are on an otter flying around, other parts were sold to Mr.Huges in Ignace,Ont.

Yes yes still within the staggering distance of the TI, didnt someone chainsaw the heads off the stone dog statues last year, im sure the locals and their overwhelming respect for their surroundings will have this in shambles unless Thompson can put a fence around it.

What a disgusting thing to do, to such a beautiful piece of history.

Good old hyc,did many trips into Garson Lake....BHS,on a good day we called her big, heavy and slow,on a bad day it was big hunk of shit.HYC met its match by hitting a power line while the pilot followed the road home in bad weather.Oh the stories I got from living in LaLoche
Re: Thompson got their Norseman.............
You recognize either of those two boys in the flight suits?
Haha I think that shot of HYC is from ft. mc.
