O.P.I.: General Aviation
Narrative: The Aero Academy Inc. Cessna 172N aircraft was concluding a night VFR dual instruction training flight from London International Airport (CYXU) to Toronto (Buttonville) Municipal Airport (CYKZ). The licenced private pilot was on final approach when the aircraft drifted to one side of the runway. The instructor took control and commenced an overshoot. However, the aircraft stalled during the overshoot and landed hard, incurring substantial damage to the aircraft. None of the three (3) occupants were injured.

Wow looks like they landed right after I did. We heard them turning base on the radio just as we were taxiing off 33. Winds calm that night. We must've been tying down the plane while it happened but heard nothing.
