I see no need for you to be an ass over this, the man was just looking for some information which is what this forum is all about. Interesting though how people will argue at length with the idiot on here who can't handle the fact that the word engineer has more than one meaning but when a fellow is looking for advice he often gets shut down.
You don't hear too much from Voyageur AME's. You'll hear plenty from ex-Voyageuer AME's and pilots. The F/A's? I don't think I've heard anything from them.
I don't know how good their internet systems are set up. Guaranteed Timor sucks. Probably the same for some areas in Africa. Liberia should be good. perhaps they are too busy to go on Avcanada.
I personally know two AME's that worked briefly for VAL and left. Left for different reasons. Money, women, booze, working conditions, living conditions. Everybody has their own reasons for quitting.
As it was already pointed out try the search function and you will find all sorts of information about VAL.
i am sorry for being short on this subject.
BUT........... I am totally sick of the wasted time on VAL on this forum. most of the BS that is spouted about them is from employees, and all true. so if you read the threads before asking questions that have been asked a thousand times, you will answer all of your questions, and not fill the threads with crap. just my opinion.
The only thing that sucks about VAL is that they think their employees are airplanes: we can put them anywhere and for an indefinate period of time. It would be an excellent place to work if they just realized that people should be treated as people, they would also get alot more out of the employees that way, happier employees.
There are alot of good things about VAL, the equipment is top notch and you will never be forced to do something that you are not comfortable with, aside from the travelling. As an apprentice I think it would be an excellent place to learn, things are done right there.
