To the Pilots and MTC staff at CMA who persist on running up your Dornier on the Sunwest ramp could you please do it on your own ramp. Your noisy as hell, our customers don't need to put up with it. Do it on your own ramp.

When I worked at CMA we had premission from CAA to run up on the apron beside Sunwest where the compass rose is. We loved going down athere and blasting the sh!t out of you guys!
Why does Sunwest think they run the South West side of the airport?? Go back to cleaning the aircraft underline!

Can't speak for maint, but the pilots do the systems check in front of sunwest so that they aren't blasting anyone or in anyones way.
They don't do it in front of the hangar as then they're blocking/blasting all the Sunwest planes south of the CMA hangar. They don't do it on taxiway P so that they don't block Sunwest and all the other operators in that area. They don't do it in the corner by the hangar as that would blast the parking lot behind them. It could be done on a taxi way on the way to the terminal but then it has to be worked in with ground and if something is not right it is a long way back to the hangar.
Generally it happens once a day and takes them about 3 or 4 minutes.
So really I would say that they are trying pretty hard to work with you and if you have a problem with it you should call the company or talk to the pilots and maint guys to come up with a better solution.
