Jazz Q400 rumour again
Has anyone else heard or read about this. Today we had an AC pilot ride with us from YUL-YOW. He said that there was an article in the Globe and Mail today quoting Joe Randall saying Jazz is getting Q400s. Anyone or were we had?
Re: Jazz Q400 rumour again
Yea how are the Jazz pilot planning to merge the pilot list with Porter?

Re: Jazz Q400 rumour again
They're ALPA, right DOH with a 2 year fence. Sauce for the goose.
Re: Jazz Q400 rumour again
Well just remember that you did here it first.
I light of the new record fuel prices, Jazz has entered into talks and sounds like an agreement with porter to buy them out.
All porter pilots will be on the bottom of the jazz list. The 400's are going to do rapid air, as well as many lights between yyz and airports within 400 miles.
Apparently Jazz has bought porter for 96 Mill.
Cheers,

OK, OK. So I got my chain pulled. I thought the AC and Jazz pilots were all on the same side. Wait till I deadhead on my next AC flight. The rumour mill pool will be deepened again.

I read it in the globe too. It had a little blurb that Joe Randel is "considering" q400 type aircraft. nothing else was said though.
Re: Jazz Q400 rumour again
Jazz makes 36 to start and Porter makes 40? Pretty close...

all poo smells......36 or 40...its still stinky
Re: Jazz Q400 rumour again
lol, that Jazz buying porter rumor has been making its rounds since the day Porter opened.
Once upon a time I could see ACE buying porter, now I can't see Porter selling. Honestly, I think porter has the potential to be around for the long haul. The right planes, the right routes, and they seem to have found their niche out of YTZ.

Okay Fellas.
The whole Jazz buying Porter.....
. Someone was yanking your chains. Aint gonna happen.
Now as for the article, voila: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ ... login=true
Not the first time they are interested in them, Does not mean that they are for sure getting them.
Just another carrot IMHO. Jazz met with AC earlier this year. Apparently they discussed this to great lengths and came to the conclusion that the fleet will stay as status quo for the foreseeable future.
Oh they will get the Q400 eventually....When they are cheap and obsolete.
