Fuel Burn

Post by Speedy7 »

I am doing some comparison of aircraft and their relative fuel efficiency. Can anyone provide me with approximate fuel burn rates for the Q100/200/300/400s?

Burn rate is not the most important thing. It's how far you go for the same amount of fuel. 375lbs/hr@160kts for 208 or 400lb/hr@260 for a PC-12 doing the same job. Our Dash 8-100s burns roughly 1000lbs/hr@20000ft while our 1900Ds are around 800lbs@24000ft. The first carrys 37 paxs while the other is 18.

And the 1900D is ~40kts faster.

Thanks for the info. I am using a metric of pax load per (the amount of fuel per 100 km) as a measure of the efficiency. For that I require the fuel burn at the cruise speed.

I know the person asking this question and suggested that he use this forum to get his answer because of the wealth of information that members have.

He needs very specific fuel burn rates right out of the AFM from those of you who fly these specific a/c models. Thanks in advance.
