Post by Vickers vanguard »

years ago, a windshield bursted on a BAC one eleven... in flight...the Captain got sucked half way out the opening while the F/O was trying the bring the bird back home. The captain was then held from his legs by a flight attendant.did anyone hear about it?

I remember reading about that. I think its true. The (male) flight att. just happened to be in cockpit when the window let-go, he saw the captain start to go out, so he grabbed him by the feet. I don't think the capt. had his seat belt on  .
