Borek/MAR again...
Kind of a weird question, but here goes...
I may have an interview coming up in the near future, but I'm just wondering if Borek will want to see a copy of my high school diploma? When I moved from down east a couple of years ago, I left a lot of stuff behind and I'm pretty sure it got thrown out. When I called the Dept. of Education back east they said it would take a while to get me a new one.
Thanks

Re: Borek/MAR again...
did they ask you to bring it at this interview ?
flight experience seems more inportant to KBAL than high school degrees

Most companies would be happy to have a pilot who can fly and make good decisions, even if the pilot could barely read and write.
In fact there are lots of examples of the barely able to read and write here on Avcanada.

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.
After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

On behalf of the KBAL semi-literacy guild, I believe I can say the high school diploma has far less importance than a current IFR, floats, and a passport. Bonus for a vacination certificate, and a police report. Might wish to read through the CAP Gen, and a few of the rules about 704 flight and duty times. Logbook, and an extra copy of your resume... have fun.In fact there are lots of examples of the barely able to read and write here on Avcanada.
For those of Cat's generation ...the police report varies greatly from your time. Nowadays this is a report showing you free from criminal activity.

Considering pilots (and AMEs for that matter) all need some sort of a college education, who cares about a high school diploma?

Will fix airplanes for food.

if you go for your instructor rating that would be the third strike against you (college, ontario, instructor)
The only thing you need to know how to spell is your name when you write it on the top of your multiple choice exam, and it's been a little while but I think they even have the little bubbles for that as well

So pilots who reside in Ontario need not apply to Borek?

We don't actually care where you're from. Just don't wear Edmonton sports regalia while in Calgary. A word to the wise, as it were.

I'd also avoid telling anyone you were ever anything but a flames fan. even though they suck.
