I know they're hot. Especially when it comes to hands-on ''experience'' :P...now about the flying part... cockpit experience.

Not sure what it is like now. I looked into converting my license there a few years ago. Was not easy. A JAA license is required. As for the types of flying there, not many options. TAP is the national airline. They tend to hire younger pilots. Portugalia was bought by TAP, and they prefer to hire older pilots. SATA has 2 operations. The international side has its base in Lisbon. The Air Acores side is based is Ponta Delgada. NetJets is corporately based in Cascais. Jet Republic was rumored to be starting up, but with the economy the way it is...not so sure. There are a couple of more operations there, Euro Atlantic Airways, and White. Don't know to much about these 2 operations though.

Are you a Portuguese National? Planning on looking for work there? PM me if you would like more info. Hope this helps
