Correction from the post above...

2 weeks On, 2 weeks Off for the King Air crews
25000$/year for Fo's + Per diem (40$/day)
2 Be20 in Rankin Inlet + 1 Be20 in Churchill (Medevacs)
1 Be20 used as a charter plane based wherever needed
3 B1900 (including 1 "D" model) mostly for sched flights
Keewatin Air is based out of Winnipeg
Some people start on the ground and others get a "direct entry" FO spot with a bare 250h...

Good company to be at if you don't mind the arctic cold.

Cheers!

Hey Guys
Just wondering how fast upgrades happen at Keewatin, and what they are looking for as experience?

Thanks

Upgrades at Keewatin Air are usually done around the 1500hrs TT range but its also dependant on your turbine time and how much they like you. Pay is $45k plus diems (about 600/month). You are away from home up north for 2 week rotations. forget about schedules. they will call u whenever sometimes you dont even get your 2 weeks off. if there is bad weather you're stuck up north. and some of the nurses will make you want to quit.

Just kick their butts out of the airplane in Chesterfield or Whale Cove for the weekend. That tends to tune them up!

Then they will whine, complain, threaten to quit and you'll get fired. Pilots are worth nothing in that company. And it shows in their paycheque.

she writes reports after every flight and emails it to the VP. About everyones job performance and what was said in conversations. Apparently she believes she can fly the airplane and wont hesitate to come up front to show you how to do your job. Shes a nut job. I am glad to be out of there, that woman took at least 5 years off my life.

by willing to fly
I was in to see Keewatin just two days ago. As of then, they had filled any available FO spots.

Don't worry willing to fly a position will open soon again. As far as requirements for f/o's 200 hours and your in. According to the powers you will be more valuable than the captains. The nurses will complain about you all the time. The crazy one will call vp every chance they can get. Just to say how you are doing and if they see any areas you can improve in. The company will get pissed at you before even talking to you. If you complain about a nurse they will look at you like sure we will get on that right away. The pay is not really worth it. Schedules don't plan on it.

Glad to be outta there.
