Zulu owners, question on removing the headpad
I just recently got a Lightspeed Zulu headset, and need to get under the head pad for the serial number. Is anyone able to describe how to get under it for the serial number? The manual is lacking in describing how to remove/change the head pad.

Had the same issue. You are actually supposed to separate the headpad somehow...although it feels like a part that doesn't want to come off when you pull at it. Luckily the serial number is on the outside of the box your headset came in, they just leave that info out (found that out when I called and asked if they actually wanted me to rip my headset apart). The barcode and number on the side of your box is your serial number.

It also should be inside the Battery box

Had a look at mine today. The four soft pads on the headband are attached to a plastic piece. Just pull the plastic piece and the whole padded part comes off no problem. Just snaps back into place. Serial number is on a white label. There are four little resistance clips that hold it on. Shouldn't hurt anything to get it apart. I have had mine off twice, nothing busted yet

Re: Zulu owners, question on removing the headpad
yeah, it just pops off and snaps back on, no problem. I am wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their zulu's interfering with the aircraft intercom systems. Mine seems to intermittantly pick up the auditory voice and beeps. As the aircraft auditory systems come through both the headsets and speakers, I'm wondering if the zulu is occasionally blocking the sound as if it's just noise. I know I had a set of the bose, which did screw up the intercom system until I sent them in to get repaired. Didn't think they should have any way of interfering with the a/c at all...
