If you are in Kenora, I would look up Hicks and Lawerance (That spelling may be wrong), from what I saw they had a good operation.

try firstair, if you are willing to move north. Lots of work with either air tindi or arctic sunwest in yellowknife get some good experience!

Just a suggestion, but try checking your spelling first. Those are the applications that go in the garbage first.

I have hired alot of apprentices. I agree, spelling and grammar are just important as the proper standard of work on an aircraft. But I will give you the benifit of the doubt here.
Go west young man....go west.

I am in the same boat as yourself. I've put out some resumes all across the country. The way it looks in this industry is that you should be willing to relocate. I'm doing the Stevenson program and no one is biting yet. Do most operators prefer you to be done school? I know there is oppourtunity I may not be looking in the right places though.

Hi gonfly"n.Not to be a smart ass but it seems you are not willing to relocate do you expect the jobs to come to you.You may have to leave your home town for awhile get some experience maybe your licence then you will have more options.Yes Steveson is a good place had a couple of my apprentices that attended.

No, I'm definately willing to relocate. Last year at this time I wasn't. If the work isn't around home then there is not too much that can be done about that. I'm willing to go north!

I'm leaning more towards turbo props. Floats would be interesting! I'm really considering getting out of the city as well. So in short not sure of a specific type of aircraft but i'm pretty open minded right now. The applying while in school thing is tricky. you have to be working for this program though. Pretty much all the guys in this program were working before we started. Most if not all had some kind of in with a company.
