Anyone have any Idea what is happening, have there been updates. Is the progect on hold...?
Are the bases going to be the same as the current Canadian Helcopter bases?
Any info or rumors would be great

Re: Ornge
Pay a bond or be subjected to doing a Be90 PPC with the check pilot sitting in the back reading porn? At least with a bond you can make some demands for quality of training seeming you could be paying for it. Now why don't you stop deflecting threads and let people get answers.
PS Sorry I dont know anything of your original post about Ornge but I will try to find out.

Re: Ornge
in my experience the existence and size of a bond had absolutely no bearing on the quality of the training

seriously Doc, shut up.
No one on this particular thread gives a sh#t what you think about bonds. So please do us a favour and start a new thread where you and the rest of the guys that like to debate about retarded stuff can do your thing. I for one just want information on Ornge.
Thanks

Re: Ornge
Last I heard (read it in a magazine from December 2008) they bought 6 airplanes, to be devided between Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout and Timmins.
I just saw a post from Ornge on the recruitment part of the forums for Captains and its going until the end of feb. so I don't expect intervews before march.
my 2 cents!

Re: Ornge
Are any PC-12's based in Southern Ontario... if yes, where? and how close do you have to live to the airport?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Re: Ornge
I was telling them how much I respected pilots who buy their jobs. I removed the post, because I no longer care. I'd never hire one though. Never Mind made his comment LONG after my post was removed. I think he may be a Jam Tart. Not man enough to insult me on his own. Bet he can't fly very well either.Cat Driver wrote:I don't see any comment by Doc, was it removed?seriously Doc, shut up.

Re: Ornge
So, can anybody tell me? Do they, or do they not, require a pilot to put up money for a job with them? Easy question. Somebody must know the answer. Just want to know if I should put pen to paper, or continue to hibernate till spring. It was real cold when I sniffed the air outside my den this morning! Don't want to have to get up if I don't have to.
