I'd like some information regarding who does the hiring for the traffic plane? I've done a search and have been to CZBB to try to find the operator, anyone have some insight?

Don't know much about them. I see the plane parked down by the Esso Avitat YVR all the time by the fence (when its not rush hour).

Its GHTM, I flew the plane for a year. Great time builder, 1000 hrs+ a year. Not great pay though. The chief pilot is very hands free and lets you make all the calls, so you jump right in with both feet.

What kind of time requirements is he looking for.. last I heard he was looking for 1,000+ TT

Its for Foley flight leasing. They used to have two! HTM and MDZ if I remember right. Lots of people on the list to get on there. Seems like it'd be okay for some time building if you didn't mind the random hours and low pay.

When I chatted with the boss man years back he wanted at min. 1000hrs and a current MIFR and someone who could tolerate the reporters, apparently they can be a handful at times.

I don't know about a 1000 but some experience is needed. Eventhough its a 172 your flying in van tower/terminal in busy airspace along with night in bc's finest weather. Lots of marginal and special vfr with pressure from the news company not the CP.
