Have you not ever heard of ACMI. This flight is operated by Omni Air Intl DC-10. Sunwing may have a couple aircraft down for mntc, these things happen all the time.

Yeah I suppose, I understand the sub charter part but it just seems weird using a DC-10 but hey if the price is right.

DC-10 with sunwing call sign landed in front of me in YYZ today operated by OMNI air.

A B738 lost an engine and diverted to PHL. I think its still there, might be the reason for the equipment swap.

Is it possible that Sunwing is thinking about getting
some A330? Heard a rumor today, has anyone info on
this?

The southbound flight was operated by a DC-10 as well:

If you look at the original posted link to Flightaware, on the 28th the 737 that diverted to KPHL positioned back to CYUL.

I too heard A330 in the future. First it was the 767 now its the A330
