Impulse purchase- blender!

Post by . ._ »

Hi folks!

I was walking to the LCBO on a fine pogey Thursday, when it hit me- it's spring time! Time for some foo foo drinks!

So I made a detour to the Rainbow Centre (yes, I love that name- because it screams heterosexual confidence) and bought a blender. I was feelin' margarita, so I figured a quick mix would be a good way to start my blender filled summer.

Here's a pic!

Image

So now my question to you, or rather my heavy handed demand of you, is to give me your favourite panty-remover/summer time/foo foo/tropical blender drink recipes. I gotta go. I have some lime and Triple Sec that's not in the picture, and my liver needs some abuse.

Thanks in advance for your crushed ice recipes. And by the way, if any of you are driving through Sudbury, you can use the blender. I mean, your tax dollars paid for it, and I share like a good communist/socialist.

Cheers!

Ah, BOAT DRINKS! I have a 12 volt blender on my yacht! Yacht indeed. Okay, so it's only 22 feet LOA and never leaves the airport parking lot. It's for sale BTW, the boat, not the blender. Oh hell, I'll include the blender!

Nothing like a good daiquiri, margarita, pina colada or the many other drinks the blender can provide. istp, I'm sure I can't teach you anything you don't know or can't find online.

So, this is a NON-alcoholic suggestion, perhaps when you are hung over. I used to drink a lot of avocado juice in Indo/Papua. Just blend ripe avos with ice and a little sugar... add and taste until it's to your sweetness desire. Then coat a milkshake type glass with chocolate sauce before filling with the mixture. Man, is it ever good and good for you. I'm not even the biggest fan of avocados, but this drink is superb.

Cheers.

That's not a blender!

http://www.margaritavillestore.com/brow ... ,1809.html

Now THAT'S a blender.

Before I had one of these I used a bucket, chordless drill with a mixing (for cement) bit. Crude but effective boat appliance.

I like to keep it simple when it comes to drinks. If you have some Cachaca (brasilian rum) at home, the Caipirinha is sure to get the ladies talking to you (if they are not turned off by your unemployed ass  ). Put some lime in the bottom of a short glass. Squish the lime. Fill the glass with ice. Add sugar to your taste and then fill the glass with Cachaca. Allow ice to melt a little. Drink. Profit.

Folks:

It took me a rather long time to catch onto why Gin is called "Panty remover" ..... I should have "used" it earlier in the "wasted youth" phase of my life.

Mix almost any kind of tasty fruit juice, fruit chunks, and crushed ice with Gin, and then secretly have your stirrups and spurs handy under the bed so you are able to "remain coupled to the squirming beast within."

From a scientific observation of female behaviour perspective, its quite amazing actually.

Although I haven't tried to orally administer this specific concoction to a research subject, you'll get the general idea of Gin and fruit juice by reading this link.

http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink9872.html

Oh, last tips, .... mix the first Gin drink at a somewhat weak ratio to deaden their taste buds, then increase the ratio on subsequent trips to the blender. Next, don't let them get too drunk before proposing to play in the bedroom, because there is a high probability they will unexpectedly pass out ...as Jerry Seinfeld would say ... "not that there's anything wrong with that."

Regards ... and ITSP, do let us know how things work out,
Fog

I whole-heartedly agree on the Gin-mixtures, and the Caipirinhas. Strictly speaking from an experience point of view. Very tasty and they don't leave such a sugar-headache-hangover the girls so often get. Now if only they sold Cachaca in the north...

Honestly guys, thanks for the tips.

I'm gonna wait a while before whipping up more boat drinks. I'm kinda blended out for now.
