Smoke in the cockpit (or smelled/warning). AC Techs working on it now...supposed to be leaving tonight at 2100 AST. I was hoping it would leave Tue. as the weather will be nice then for me to get a nice picture of her on take-off.

Parked beside it that night. We were told they had a lightening strike and as a result there was th smoke smell and they did the emergency landing into YHZ. At 4 in the morning they were still trying to get the pax and crew places to stay.

Fortunate they did not have a heavier strike...probably would have caused a fire.

Lightening...??? hello. Lightning strike.... Over.

The rationale is that if a lightening strike causes only smoke, a heavier strike will cause a fire...

OMFG...are you guys ever stunned.
