Just wondering if it would be a good idea to ask people to update/remove their resumés on the hire me forum after a certain time?

why? All postings have a date and are sorted as such. Anyone that sifts through them can easily tell which ones are old and which ones are new.
Personally I wouldn't go back much more than 6-12 months looking for potential pilot.
And I suspect most employers wouldn't give that section much more than a quick glance before posting an ad in the jobs section anyways.
The resume section is really more for pilots to see each other pilot's qualifications. Though I could be wrong and would find it interesting to learn if anyone has ever gotten a call from a posting they made there.
