It has been a while since I've dealt with this topic, was hoping someone could refresh my memory.
On aircraft that publish a "Demonstrated Cross Wind" in their Limitations, how is this figure arrived at? I seem to remember that the Certification requirement is for the manufacturer to demonstrate the aircraft in a minimum cross wind that is 30% of Vso, although I could be wrong. Furthermore, please confirm that this is not an aircraft "limitation" per se.

20%Vso if no figure is given in the POH is a way to estimate the DCC.
The DCC is not a "limitation" as it does not appear in Part 2 of the POH.
The DCC is "the maximum xwind component an average pilot could handle using an average xwind technique and an aeroplane with average maintenaince in average condition" or something to that effect.
Hope that helps.
