Patient Re-patriation / Medevac

Post by just curious »

Hi,

I may need to repatriate someone from Mexico. She would need Supplementary O2, a Paramedic or RN escort, and likely sedation. Routing would probably be via MMMD KHIA CYYZ commercailly via Continental.

Since she has been out of the country for sometime, OHIP, and her insurance ain't gonna cover it. This'd be cash, in a week or more once she stabilizes.

If any of you medevac guys have any bright ideas, I'd welcome a PM.

Thanks.

Hi JC,

I sent an email to Angel Flight and Mercy Flight in the US on your behalf for suggestions, plus I can send a message to the 99s email network (if you need transportation) - we have members all over NA. Also, have you tried emailing the Baja Bush Pilots Association? http://www.bajabushpilots.com/

Just to clarify were you looking for partial air travel (the reason I suggested BBPA), or just medic services?

If just medic services, did you try sending a note to the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario? http://www.rnao.org/ or the Ontario Paramedic Association: http://www.ontarioparamedic.ca/

Cheers,
snoopy

I'm in the Yucatan, so the Baja guys are wrong side of the country, and the RN and paramedic assoc sites both cheerfully let me know it's friday after five.

Thanks though. Think I have something in the works. This is more a should do this week thing, not a gear up in the next half hour thing.

Call ORNGE. They have the hook-ups to get it done for you. Or Skyservice, maybe Flightexec.
