NWT hotels - any recommendations

Post by Trevor »

I'm expecting to head to Yellowknife, Hay River and Fort Smith next month. It looks like I'll try renting a car in Yellowknife and using the local cabs in the other two towns. Any recommendations on hotels? Any to stay away from?

Thanks,

Stay at the Gold Range and you can tell all your friends you have found where the missing link in the human evolution chain can be found.

The Office is closed. It's called Fuego now. Weekend brunch at the Explorer is all right. For some good fish go to Bullocks and bring $$$. Definately go to the Range, it's the finest that YK has to offer.

The Explorer is the best, but not the cheapest. If you're looking for a "deal" in YZF, maybe Super 8 or ever the YK Inn (just had reno's). Ptarmigan Inn for YHY, and not sure about YSM. Good luck!

Dinner at Bullocks is pretty good, but I was a little shocked at the bill. $45 for fish 'n chips and a bottle of Keith's:shock:

Fort Smith - that's easy, unless things have changed, go to the only one in town. Good Chinese. For a nice massage, go to the coffee shop, they have a good mocha also. Good golf course too!!

Find a B&B hotels are expensive in YZF. Renting a car in YZF is $$$$$$$$$$$. Very nice place though, some of the coolest people I ever met. got to check out URSUS
